I had a customer ask how she keeps focal beads done on 3/32" mandrels from spinning on beading string or wire. Most lamp workers use 3/32" mandrels as they are the best size for cording, I prefer cording for heavier beads. We really try hard to balance the focal beads out for you, but, just in case it doesn't I like to use #6 or #8 seed beads on the line then slip the focal over them. This works on silver wire too.
Have any other questions? Just drop a line and I'd be happy to help you out if I can.
Tools for LampWorkers! The best I have found! Scott Bouwens invented the EMS, (electric mandrel spinner). For the best rolling marver ever! He made it too.......I use both and his hand stabilizers are great for long hours at the torch. Plus, you have to see his wife Monica's jewelry, it is to die for!
See we all work really hard to make what you need or want....
